We are the organizer of the Nigeria Family Planning Conference, which takes place once every two years. As part of our commitment to operational excellence and accountability, we seek a highly motivated and experienced Finance/Admin Officer to join our team.
Job Description (JD) – Finance/Administrative Officer (FAO)
Job Summary:
The Finance/Admin Officer will be responsible for the organization’s financial and administrative operations, ensuring effective financial management, compliance with regulations, and efficient administrative support. The role requires excellent accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reports.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and expenditure reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, donor requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Manage payroll, tax filings, and statutory deductions.
• Support audits and financial reviews, ensuring timely submission of reports.
• Support project design, planning, and implementation
• Support the cost-benefit and effectiveness analyses
Administrative Support:
• Manage office operations and logistics.
• Oversee staff contracts, benefits, and HR-related documentation.
• Maintain organizational records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and other administrative functions.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in the NGO sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, grant management, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
